Commissions Info + Terms of Service

I'm a 2D digital artist and the type of commissions I do are mainly fictional character illustrations (I do not draw portraits or design logos, patterns, graphics, etc.) Ask me as many questions as you'd like, and I will walk you through anything you may need help with. Preferably, please email me at toonoclockArt@gmail.com if you wish to do any business with me. I may (but not always) ask you to fill in the Google Form for more convenience on my end.

I AM WILLING TO DRAW:

Humans, humanoids (any gender, age, body type)
Anthropomorphic (furries), some animals or pets, ponies (MLP), some creatures, etc.
Original characters
Fan Art (almost any fandom)
Artistic nudity, pin-ups, suggestive themes [18+ only]
Moderate blood, injury and violence
Relationships and romantic situations (OC ships, some fandom ships, self-inserts, OCxCanon, LGBTQ+, etc.)
Meme/joke art

I WILL NOT DRAW:

Fetishes or Explicit NSFW; any NSFW with multiple characters
Overly-complex designs (Mech, vehicles, detailed armor, other designs I cannot simplify in my style, etc.)
Real people, celebrities
Realistic style, realism
Explicit gore, injury and violence
Hateful or discriminatory art
Political or sensitive subject matter
Anything illegal or immoral/problematic (proship, incest, pedophilia, zoophilia, etc.)

ASK ME FIRST: (must provide more details via email or DM)

NSFW content (+50% base price fee; 18+ and SOLO characters only.)
Anything that isn't included in my commission options (if you have a specific idea or option in mind)
Gift art (please specify that you are requesting gift art for someone, and if the character belongs to you or them)
Art style changes (using a different art style or replicating a style from a show, anime, etc. I will not copy another individual artist's style.)

PROCESS

Send a message to my email (toonoclockArt@gmail.com) or DM me on any social media. Include basic details such as commission type, reference images, or any questions. You may be prompted to fill in the Google Form as well.
After a thorough discussion, I will send you a final quote for your project. You are free to decide if you'd like to decline or postpone the commission at this point.
I will send a rough/thumbnail sketch to give an idea of what the artwork may look like, and to let you know that I have started. This concludes the Planning Stage.
FULL PAYMENT is accepted immediately afterwards (though this step is negotiable for bigger projects).
After payment, the Sketch/Approval Stage begins, where I will send more polished sketches or ideas, color plans/layouts, and additional Work In Progress updates. Minor revisions are unlimited, and I allow up to 2 major revisions at this stage.
I’ll continue sending updates at the Line Art, Coloring, etc., stages. Minor revisions are unlimited, and I will make no more major revisions at this stage.
The finished art will be reviewed one more time. The HD files are delivered via Google Drive link or email.

PAYMENT

I accept US Dollars (via PayPal, Ko-Fi*, Stripe, CashApp* or Venmo*). For PayPal, an email is required so I can send an invoice. I usually receive full payment after sending a rough sketch in the Planning Stage, but for bigger projects I can accept half payment at that stage, and the other half after the project is near-completion (clients will be sent lower quality or watermarked versions of the artwork until full payment is given). Tips are not required, but are always appreciated!

*Ko-Fi, CashApp, and Venmo can be used for smaller/quicker commissions.

GENERAL TERMS

The base prices displayed are not set in stone and may increase or decrease, depending on the complexity of the character's design or the artwork in general. Details must be discussed further before proceeding to payment.
A visual reference for your character is always required. At least one image provided must be clear and in color. I can work from written descriptions to an extent, but images (whether it be drawings, photos, moodboards, etc.) must always be provided by the client.
If there is a specific pose, expression, or scenario you have in mind for your commission, let me know or otherwise I will take artistic liberty. Rough sketches/stick figure drawings help too.
Let me know in advance if this is a private commission, or if you would like to remain anonymous as the client. Private commissions will require an additional 10% fee.
By default, I work with RGB / 300 DPI.

DEADLINES / SCHEDULE POLICY

I work on a first come, first serve basis (with rare exceptions); please be patient if your commission is not top priority at that point in time.
Turnaround time: It may take me from a few weeks to a few months to finish depending on the complexity of the commission, my life schedule, and other projects piling up on my queue (NSFW commissions will definitely take longer).
On average, assume my regular or simpler artworks to be finished within 1 month, and sketches to be finished within 2 weeks. Full illustrations with backgrounds and detailed rendering may take 3-6 months. These are just estimates, and not final numbers.
Expect the initial rough sketch update within the first 2 weeks. If there is no update from me in that timeframe, feel free to contact me anywhere.
My life schedule will always be random and inconsistent, and I can experience burnout easily. If anything unexpected happens that prevents me from working in a timely manner, I will let you know.
If the commissioned work is time-sensitive, deadlines must be discussed with me before payment. I will turn down any deadline I cannot reasonably work with. There may be an additional 10% fee, due to me having to prioritize your work before the others on my queue.

REFUND / CANCELATION POLICY

If you would like to cancel or I am somehow unable to deliver the finished project, I will send you what I already had done and a refund that reflects on the progress made. Please email/DM me so we may further discuss our terms.
I cannot give refunds or make any more modifications to the art if said project is already finished and fully delivered.

RIGHTS AND USAGE POLICY

These are personal commissions. You may do anything you wish with the artwork that falls under personal use only. No additional profit is to be made to the client from my art in any way.
(For example) You may print, edit, color, display, or use the artwork online (as an icon, banner, asset, character reference image, book cover, in any non-commercial projects, etc.) as long as proper credit is given to me.
If my work is to be used in any non-commercial projects, details must be discussed with me beforehand to confirm no profit will be made.
My artwork can be printed into posters, charms, pins, stickers, etc., only for your personal use or for gifts.
I will not allow any commercial use of this artwork (aside from simply being showcased in videos or streams*).
I do not allow anyone to reproduce, resell, relicense, sub-license or market my work for personal gain.
I also do not allow my work to be used in any promotional, cover or game art that has money involved or may generate profit from it.
*My work being showcased in monetized YouTube videos or streams (with credit) are the ONLY exceptions to this rule.
I do NOT, under ANY circumstances, allow any part of my work to be involved with non-fungible tokens (NFT), cryptocurrency-related schemes, or the use of generative AI.
You are not allowed to trace over or claim my work as your own.
I do not claim copyrights to the subject of the artwork (e.g. your original characters, fan art), unless stated otherwise (i.e. characters created by the artist and requested by the client). I do however claim title and ownership, and all rights to the artwork itself.
I may use any public commissions for my portfolio, social media, art collections, and all other forms of self-promotion.
I may also resell and redistribute the commissioned pieces (e.g. digitally downloadable art files, physical prints) if it is fan art. However, I will not sell any pieces containing the client's original characters or ideas.

DISCLAIMER

I do not associate with, support, and will not be held accountable for any inappropriate/offensive behavior from a client, nor do I claim to hold the same ideologies as them. Any exchange between the artist (TikkiToon) and the client (you) is strictly business only. If I have reason to believe that a client is inappropriate or holds inappropriate ideologies, I will terminate all interaction (you will be refunded accordingly). Excessive harassment and rudeness will also result in a cancellation and/or blacklist.

BOTTOM LINE

By requesting an art commission, you confirm that you have read and agree to my Terms of Service. Please ensure you have the necessary funds before requesting a commission. The artwork is only delivered digitally, and is not available in physical form unless you print it yourself. Any violations of my Terms of Service will result in either a cancellation, or immediate ban from purchasing a commission in the future. I may block all contact and/or have you publicly blacklisted. I reserve the right to decline any request I may find uncomfortable or offensive, without need for further explanation.
